Bluemark announces new strategic relationship with Iroquois Healthcare

Apr 28, 2016 | News

On April 1st 2016, Bluemark, a leading provider of revenue cycle technology solutions for hospitals and health systems entered into a strategic relationship with Iroquois Healthcare, a healthcare trade organization that represents hospitals and health systems in upstate New York. Through this new relationship, Iroquois members will now have access to Bluemark’s solutions with preferred pricing and exclusive packaging. The key to this new relationship is Bluemark’s MAPS Self-Pay management solution.

MAPS equips providers to quickly and accurately assess the uninsured or underinsured and qualify them for any enrollment pathway: Medicaid, Financial Assistance, health insurance through the exchange, and other public programs.

“Bluemark has been providing eligibility and enrollment technology solutions for the hospital, health system and the long-term care markets for the past 15 years” said Bryan Exner, Partner and Chief Operating Officer for Bluemark, “and this new relationship helps us expand our reach to the Upstate New York State market”. MAPS identifies appropriate program coverage in the most efficient and accurate manner possible. This not only maximizes potential reimbursement revenue but also reduces overall cycle-time from initial screen to ultimate program enrollment. MAPS also has the capability to interface directly with the New York State Health Exchange which even further streamlines the process of Medicaid enrollment and tracking.

“We are still absorbing the effects of the Affordable Care Act and in New York specifically, we now need to navigate the landscape of the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program”, said Gary Fitzgerald, President of Iroquois Healthcare, “after careful consideration and review we feel that Bluemark, specifically their MAPS Self-Pay Management Solution can help our members address many of the issues resulting from these changes.

“Bluemark and Iroquois Healthcare will be working closely together over the next several months to introduce the MAPS solutions to their member hospitals and health systems.
